Spread the Fiery love.....or not...

Mozilla is doing a rather cool thing, they are trying to beat down IE. With the release of FireFox 3 come a new power Internet browsing saga. Mozilla say that FireFox three is the "The browser that has it all." And what do you do with that power? Break a record, of course, Duh. Sounds like a good deal, right? All you have to do is get FireFox 3 during Download Day to help set the record for most software downloads in 24 hours - it’s that easy. We're not asking you to swallow a sword or to balance 30 spoons on your face, although that would be kind of awesome.

I think that this is a perfect idea. Not only does it attract new users via the site and, if they make it, the book itself, It also bring the community together in a strange, yet fun way.

So, what are they shooting for, 5 million downloads. On the date of the release of FireFox 2 they had 1.6 million downloads, they want 62.5% more downloads then last time.

So what do you do, the same thing that I did go there and pledge. All you have to do is enter where you are, like China or USA, and your E-mail address and your set.

They already have 506,117 total pledges already. From Alaska to Greenland to Japan people are pledging left and right. So do your part in the cause and pledge right now.
