So as you know, we are having our first live show in a few weeks and I wanted something to "spice" up the webcam we will be using, so I did some looking around and found something fun.
It's called Webcam Max and that is what it did for us here at Tech"Know" Podcast.
It's a fun little program where you can add a variety of effects over your webcam.
So what can it do?:
- Transform: apply Distorting Mirror, Fire, Mosaic, Line, Color, Snow or Water to your video show
- Mask: wear all kinds of glasses and hats, or change your hair style, or even pretend to be a famous people
- Background: Change your background to the place you like
- Frame: add some Frame to make your video cooler
- Emotion: use smiley’s you like to express your feeling better
- Text: type what you want to say on the video box directly
- Customize effects properties: change the effect's color, position, size, speed and etc.
- Create your own effects: Just follow the guide and it's really easy and fun
Well, really it does everything as advertised. However, if you’re looking for a super high end program, this is not it.
However if you want something easy; get this, but make sure you have a good enough computer. I have a Pentium 4 3.07GHz and 1Gig of Ram and I have had it freeze on me when I am using some effects, like masks, as well as when I am doing screen capture mode.
About the cost: it is $19.95 for six months, $29.95 for one year, $39.95 for two years or the best deal, $49.95 for a lifetime of use.

So over all, for me I'll give it a 4 out of 5 but that's because of the crashing and freezing on my computer. But that is just my computer. If you plan to broadcast or you just want to have fun over chats like MSN or Skype this is a cheap program to use.
